The Indian benchmark indices were trading flat with BSE Metals Index shining among all the sectoral indices, up by 0.42%.

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 75 points or 0.13% at 57,580, and the Nifty trading up by 40 points or 0.24% at 16,946.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

IndusInd Bank, TCS and Power Grid Corporation of India were the top Sensex gainers today, while Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel and Tech Mahindra were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a lower manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 0.52% and the BSE Small-cap index plunging by 0.62%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Motilal Oswal and Bank of India, while the top small-cap gainers were IFB Agro Industries and Mangalam Organics Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Metals Index leading the gainers and BSE Services Index leading the losers. The BSE Metals Index soared by 0.42%, led by Hindalco Steel and Coal India while the BSE Utilities Index plunged by 2.27%, dragged down by Rattan India and Adani Ports.
