The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher and BSE Telecommunication Index was shining among all the sectoral indices, up by 0.59%.

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 163 points or 0.28% at 58,400.87, and the Nifty trading up by 39 points or 0.24% at 17,188.90.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

L&T Ltd, Titan India and Tata Steel were the top Sensex gainers today, while Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a flat manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index surging by 0.14% and the BSE Small-cap index surging by 0.02%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are PB Fintech and Bajaj Holdings and Investments, while the top small-cap gainers were Seamec Ltd and Sequent Scientific.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Telecommunication Index leading the gainers and BSE Realty Index leading the losers. The BSE Telecommunication Index soared by 0.59%, led by Optimus Infracom and Bharti Airtel while the BSE Realty Index plunged by 0.84%, dragged down by India Bulls Real Estate and Macrotech Developers.
