Ex-dividend date is important for both current shareholders and potential new investors. It's the day when a company's shares start trading without including the value of the next dividend payment.
In simple terms, if you bought the stock before the ex-dividend date, you'll get the upcoming dividend payment. But if you bought it on or after the ex-dividend date, you won't receive the dividend.

Buyback Announcement
A buyback is when a company decides to buy its own shares back from its current shareholders. Company might do this through a tender offer or by purchasing shares on the open market. Usually, the price they offer for the buyback is higher than the current market price.
Arnold Holdings Ltd is set to announce a share buyback on January 25th.
Stock split
A stock split is a corporate move to enhance a stock's liquidity. It involves increasing the number of shares while keeping the total market value the same. For example, in a 1:2 split, shareholders get two shares for each one they had. This helps make the shares more affordable without changing the company's overall value.
Dolphin Offshore Enterprises has announced a stock split in the ratio of 10:1, meaning that each existing share will be split into 10 shares. Presently, the face value of each stock is ₹10, but post-split, the new face value will be ₹1. Company has set the record date on January 25 (Thursday). This move aims to make the company's shares more accessible to a wider range of investors.
