The real GDP has surpassed its pre-Covid levels, it grew by 8.4% higher than it was in September 2020 however, to gauge the normalized expansion it grew by 0.3% higher than September 2019. On the production side, the GVA (Gross Value Added) by industrial sector stood at 100.5% of comparative period last year, while the service sector which was previously the highest contributor has still not fully recovered. S& P Global rating has kept India’s growth forecast unchanged at 9.5% for FY2022 but has raised its forecast for FY2023.
The S& P BSE Midcap and the BSE Smallcap 100 have plunged close to 1.91%and 1.72% respectively during the week. On 2 December, S&P BSE Midcap closed at 25186.16, while S& P BSE Smallcap closed at 28327.64.
