Opening Bell: Nifty trades in green above 18,000

On Thursday, Indian equity markets kicked off the trading session with positive developments.
At 9:25 am, Nifty 50 and Sensex are trading in the green territory with gains of 0.42% each. Nifty Bank extended yesterday’s gains, rising more than 1%. Top large-cap gainers include Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, NTPC, Mahindra & Mahindra and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

HFCL - The company has received the advance purchase orders aggregating to Rs 447.81 crore, consisting of Rs 341.26 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Rs 106.55 crore from RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel) for supply, installation, testing, commissioning, integration with existing infra, operation and maintenance of IP based video surveillance system (VSS) at 180 railway stations under the western region of RailTel for and on behalf of Indian Railways.
Tata Consultancy Services - The company has announced the launch of TCS Mobility Cloud Suite, a rich toolbox of cloud-enabled software to help automotive manufacturers and suppliers adapt to the rapid changes in their industry and accelerate the expansion of their ecosystems.
TCS Mobility Cloud Suite includes ready-to-deploy, automotive-specific and industry- and cloud-agnostic solutions, digital frameworks, custom solutions, accelerators, and use cases. These curated offerings help automakers and their solution providers embrace digital technologies and new business models across the entire mobility value chain.
Tata Motors and Tata Power have entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to develop a 4 MWp on-site solar project at Tata Motors’ Pune commercial vehicle manufacturing facility. A significant step towards building a resilient and sustainable future, the installation is collectively expected to generate 5.8 million units of electricity, potentially mitigating over 10 lakh tonnes of carbon emission. This is equivalent to planting over 16 lakh teak trees over a lifetime.
RattanIndia Enterprises - The company has recently announced the launch of a cutting-edge drone named ‘Defender’ by its company TAS (Throttle Aerospace Systems). Defender is an indigenously developed tracking and capturing system for rogue drones. Defender is loaded with 13 artificial intelligence (AI) features to neutralize rogue drones.
