Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Swiggy a leading online food aggregator to revolutionize the onboard dining experience for passengers of the Indian Railways. This collaboration aims to offer pre ordered meals through IRCTC e-Catering Services enhancing convenience and variety for travelers.
IRCTC and Swiggy Agreement
A partnership between IRCTC and Swiggy is set to revolutionize food delivery for Indian Railways passengers. Starting with stations in Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Bhubaneswar. Swiggy will soon extend its service to 59 more city stations passengers can now enjoy a wide range of food options during their journeys because of Swiggy vast restaurant network promising a convenient and memorable experience.

Passengers in reserved coaches can order food from Swiggy by entering their PNR on the IRCTC app and choosing the station for delivery. Upon placing the order Swiggy delivery agents will ensure timely delivery of freshly packed meals in Swiggy bags maintaining their warmth and freshness. The service is set to commence on 12 March 2024 offering passengers a seamless and hassle free dining experience during their train journeys.
With plans to expand the service to additional stations in the coming months IRCTC and Swiggy aim to cater to the evolving needs of passengers across various routes and destinations. IRCTC and Zomato Agreement

Zomato collaboration with IRCTC initiated in 2023 has facilitated the supply and delivery of pre ordered meals at 63 railway stations including prominent locations like Prayagraj, Kanpur, New Delhi, Varanasi and Lucknow.
