Although the S&P BSE Sensex produced positive returns in the last one year, they were hardly able to beat the bank fixed deposits. However, there were sectors that flourished in the same period. Continue reading to discover more about them.

S&P BSE Sensex in the last one year returned around 6.41% which hardly beat the interest rates offered by bank fixed deposits (FDs). In fact, even the broader markets as represented by the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index and S&P BSE Small-Cap index returned 3.92% and 3.19%, respectively. This is just in line with the interest rates offered on a savings account. However, there were pockets that performed exceptionally well in the last one year.
