About Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation

GoG is promoting GMDC, which will hold 74% of the shares as of June 30, 2023. The two main businesses that GMDC is involved in are mining and electricity generating. Opencast lignite, bauxite, fluorspar, manganese, silica sand, limestone, and bentonite mine exploration is a task for GMDC. The Panandhro lignite mine is the only one in the state of Gujarat where the firm works; the other mines are in Rajpardi, Tadkeshwar, Bhavnagar, Panandhro, and Mata-No-Madh. In addition to lignite, GMDC manages bauxite mines in Gujarat. The districts of Kutch (eight mines) and Dwarka (one mine) are home to the bauxite mines.
